What is the ATF eForm process?
The ATF eForm process allows individuals and firearms industry members to electronically file certain forms, like the Form 4 for NFA items, instead of paper applications, aiming for efficiency and accuracy.
Which forms can be processed electronically by the ATF??
ATF Forms 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 6A, 9, 10 and 5300.11 are available for eForms submission.
How does the ATF ETF submission process work?
Our Fingerprint Technicians use our specialized software and a live scan fingerprint scanner to capture fingerprints electronically. They then input demographic data before generating the EFT file which can then be used for ATF eForm submissions.
What should I do before getting my fingerprints taken?
Before getting your fingerprints taken:
- Bring a valid, unexpired photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, passport) and any required documents or preferred fingerprint card (FD-258 cards provided).
- Ensure your hands are moisturized, but avoid greasy lotions.
- Do not wash your hands or use hand sanitizer before the appointment.
- Inform the technician of any cuts, dry skin, or other hand conditions.
